1802 Float level Switch
Product description:
I.S. & marine approved
Up to 4 independent switches
Ease of installation
All Whessoe float type level switches have been designed to detect high product levels in marine cargo tanks. They provide a means to remotely display level alarms and facilitate the control of valves and pumps to prevent product overspill. The 1802 float level switch incorporates up to 4 independent switch contacts and a single manual checking facility. The unit is approved for use in intrinsically safe circuits and meets the requirements of the IMO bulk chemical code for marine cargo tanks.
Technical Features:
The switch is flanged and is top mounted. All the external surfaces of the switch are stainless steel. The float assembly and stainless steel mechanism are protected by a removable stainless steel flanged shroud.
Flange: 8" 150lbs ASA (Deck Nozzle)
Safety: For use in intrinsically safe circuits
Pressure rating: 50psi (3.45 bar)
Operating temperature: 125°C
Operation:
When the product level rises, a freely guided ring float containing three magnets rises up the outside of the tube, reed switches are energised by the magnets as they pass. Manual checking of the alarm is achieved by the use of a lifting rod with a hook on it's end, which can move up and down a slot in the side of the stillwell. The rod passes through a seal and is operated from above the main flange by simply pulling up on a plastic tee handle.
Performance:
±1.5mm on level rise or fall.
