3304 Liquid Gas Level Gauge

More information

Product description:
Float lockup mechanism
No power required
Fully marine approved

The 3304 Liquid level gauge accurately and continuously measures liquid levels in the refrigerated tanks of liquefied gas carriers. The gauge can operate in tanks, up to 50 meters deep, and at temperatures as low as -200°C. When the gauge is not in use the float can be securely stored beneath the gauge head using the lockup mechanism. A transmitter may be fitted to the 3304 allowing total integration into the shipboard cargo and control system.

The 3304 Liquid Level Gauge is used as the Secondary Gauging System on board 90 plus large LNGC Worldwide.

2016 Liquid Level Gauge

More information

Product description:
Float lockup mechanism
IMO class loading device
Fully marine approved

The 2016 can accurately measure the level of liquid stored in cargo tanks of ships during loading, discharging and ballasting operations. The accuracy is not impaired by tank pressure as the gauge is completely sealed from the tank atmosphere. The 2016 is completely mechanical and does not require power for any operation, unless an optional transmitter is fitted, which would then allow data to be sent to the shipboard cargo and control system.

Technical Features:

  • Entirely mechanical in operation
  • Sealed tape drum(cassette) containing tension springs and damping mechanism
  • Continuous accurate measurement during cargo or ballasting operations
  • Lock up mechanism to secure float at sea
  • Simple mechanical design with easy maintenance for ships personnel
  • Available in ranges 0-23m and 0-36m readout available in imperial or metric units, for either ullage or innage
  • Accuracy/repeatability ± 3mm
  • Standard version of gauge suitable for crude oil and petroleum products IMO class III. Stainless steel version available for chemical cargoes
  • Other Whessoe float operated gauges available for LPG and LNG applications

Operation:
The 2016 is a mechanical device providing local digital indication of ullage or innage level. It can be fitted with a 1319 transmitter as a part of a WHESSMATIC 550 MARINE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM to provide remote display of tank product data

Performance:
The gauge is classed as an IMO closed loading device and will operate at all angles up to 22.5 degrees to the vertical

Range: 0-23m(75ft) or 0-36m(120ft)

Accuracy: ± 3mm

Approvals:

  • UK - Lloyds Register of Shipping
  • France - Bureau Veritas
  • Germany - Germanischer Lloyd
  • Norway - Det Norske Veritas
  • Italy - Registrano Italinano Navale
  • USA - American Bureau of Shipping
  • USSR - Soviet Register of Shipping
  • Japan - NKK Nippon Kaiji

2047 Marine Advanced Tank Gauge

More information

Product description:
Integral level gauge & transmitter
High pressure & aggressive product applications
Excellent accuracy

The 2047M Float Level Gauge has been designed specifically for high pressure applications within a marine environment. The microprocessor based level gauge offers superior accuracy, at a considerable lower price than any other marine gauge and transmitter combination. A refined yet simple design reduces friction to provide a precise level measurement down to ±3mm. The gauge is fitted with a removable cartridge unit as standard, enabling safe and time efficient installation and maintenance without need for specialist service engineers. An integrated damper protects the float, tape and guidewires against damage from the extremes in movement found onboard a large seagoing vessel.

Features & Benefits:

  • High Accuracy
Refined and simple design minimises friction and hysteresis, providing improved inventory management
  • High Reliability, 2 year warranty
    Low cost of ownership
  • All electronics isolated from tank atmosphere
    Maximised safety
  • Unique high integrity motor and tape assembly cartridge
Ensures reliability, reduced maintenance and safety.
  • Supplied with speed control damper
Ensures that gauge is not damaged due to the float being lowered too fast.
  • Suitable for pressures up to 20 bar (286 psi)
Can be used on most applications including LNG & LPG.

1319 Tank Gauging Transmitter

More information

Product description:
Can be Installed on most mechanical gauges
Intrinsically safe, Cenelec approved
Communication Baud rates from 150 to 2400

The 1319 intrinsically safe marine transmitter has been approved to CENELEC standards for use in hazardous areas, and is type approved for the more severe marine environments. Each transmitter is controlled by its own on- board microprocessor and responds to "tasks" presented to it from the control room equipment, via a 20 mA current loop. Because the transmitter is under software control, it is very flexible and lends itself to improvement without having to change hardware. The primary measurement is tank level, this can be provided with level limit switches, tank temperature, pressure measuring facilities, alarms input and output can also be communicated. The 1319 data loop is isolated both electrically and physically by an in-built opto coupler.
