1642 Temperature Element Selector

In-built precision compensation software
High accuracy and resolution

The Whessoe 1642 Temperature Element Selector allows individual selection of up to 15 elements in an multi element averaging thermometer. The unit also allows up to 32 individual 4 wire spot elements to be connected. Temperature measurement is factory calibrated - reducing installation time. The unit provides an accuracy of ±0.1°C with a resolution of ±0.025 °C as standard.

Features & Benefits:

The circuit is an intrinsically safe design with a 4 wire thermometer connection, themometers being of the 100Ω PRT type. The elements are enclosed in a stainless steel sheath, attached to mineral insulated stainless steel clad cable. Provision for up to 4 individual 4 wire spot elements is provided.

Temperature data is transmitted along the same data loop as level and alarms to the fig. 1097 receiver via the fig. 1760. Average or upper and lower temperature values/alarms are provided via the fig. 1097 and Marine Fluid Management System.

Differential Pressure Transmitter

The differential pressure transmitter is ideally suited for use of sea water cooling pumps where environments are chemically and mechanically extreme.

The pressure sensors measure even the smallest variations in pressures, they can be installed on side tanks or pipelines throughout the Engine or Ballast Rooms.

Operation:
The Differential Pressure Transmitter can be operated in the following ways:

  • Using the four keys on the instrument directly for calibrating zero point and span at the touch of a button. The differential pressure for 4 mA and 20 mA output can either be adopted directly from the system pressure or else calibrated without reference pressure.
  • or remotely via a PC using intelligent HART protocols
  • or using handheld terminals

Performance:
Linearity including hysteresis and repeatability based on the limit point method to IEC 770 to TD 10:1: ±0.1% of the set span , for TD 10:1 to 20:1: ±0.1% of the set span x TD/10
