The Whessoe 1642 Temperature Element Selector allows individual selection of up to 15 elements in an multi element averaging thermometer. The unit also allows up to 32 individual 4 wire spot elements to be connected. Temperature measurement is factory calibrated - reducing installation time. The unit provides an accuracy of ±0.1°C with a resolution of ±0.025 °C as standard.

Features & Benefits:
The circuit is an intrinsically safe design with a 4 wire thermometer connection, themometers being of the 100Ω PRT type. The elements are enclosed in a stainless steel sheath, attached to mineral insulated stainless steel clad cable. Provision for up to 4 individual 4 wire spot elements is provided.
Temperature data is transmitted along the same data loop as level and alarms to the fig. 1097 receiver via the fig. 1760. Average or upper and lower temperature values/alarms are provided via the fig. 1097 and Marine Fluid Management System.
